We're an independent fan project. We aggregate analysis, maps, and community discussion about third‑party treasure hunts. We are not affiliated with any of those hunts, everything here is speculative and for entertainment only, and treasure hunting is dangerous — you search entirely at your own risk. Always follow each hunt's official rules, obey the law, and stay safe. The full terms below control.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of obsession.community and its subdomains and related pages (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Obsession Community LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What This Service Is
The Service is an independent platform that aggregates and publishes analysis, maps, coordinates, predictions, commentary, and community discussion relating to various third‑party treasure hunts (for example, the Waterfall Hunt and others). The Service is informational and recreational. It is not a navigation tool, a safety tool, or an official source for any hunt.
3. No Affiliation — Independent Project
We are an independent project and fan community. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, authorized by, or associated with any treasure hunt, its organizers, its sponsors, or any related person or entity. Any references to specific hunts are made solely to identify and comment on them.
All hunt names, logos, trademarks, service marks, and trade names are the property of their respective owners. We use them nominatively — for identification, reference, and commentary only — which we believe constitutes fair use and does not imply any endorsement or partnership. We claim no ownership of, and assert no rights in, those marks. If you own rights in a hunt or mark referenced here and would like content removed, contact us at legal@obsession.community and we will respond in good faith.
4. Entertainment & Informational Purposes Only
All content on the Service — including analysis, coordinates, maps, routes, predictions, theories, and conclusions — is speculative, may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or simply wrong, and is provided for entertainment and informational purposes only. Nothing on the Service is an official rule, hint, clue, solution, or guarantee for any hunt. You must always defer to each hunt's official sources and rules. Do not treat anything here as authoritative.
5. Assumption of Risk & Safety
Treasure hunting can be physically dangerous and even fatal. It may involve remote and rugged terrain, extreme weather, water, cliffs, mines and other hazards, wildlife, and significant physical exertion. By using the Service, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with treasure hunting and any related activity.
You are solely responsible for your own safety and for every decision you make. We strongly advise against unsafe behavior and against relying on our data — including any coordinates, maps, or routes — for navigation, emergency, or safety purposes. Always tell someone your plans, carry proper equipment, check conditions, know your limits, and use independent, authoritative navigation and safety resources.
6. Legal Compliance & Land Use
You are solely responsible for knowing and obeying all applicable laws, regulations, and rules. This includes, without limitation, laws governing trespassing; access to private, tribal, state, federal, and other public lands; required permits and authorizations; digging, excavation, removal of objects, and antiquities and cultural-resource laws (such as the Archaeological Resources Protection Act (ARPA), the Antiquities Act, and the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA)); and local ordinances.
We do not authorize, permit, or grant you any right to enter onto any land or to dig, excavate, or remove anything. Land ownership, access rights, and legal restrictions vary by location and change over time; you must independently verify them and obtain any required permission before acting.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be accurate, reliable, complete, secure, uninterrupted, or error‑free.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL OBSESSION COMMUNITY LLC, ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR VOLUNTEERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS, PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LEGAL PENALTIES, OR OTHER DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO your use of (or inability to use) the Service, any content, any participation in any treasure hunt, or any activity undertaken in reliance on the Service — whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, IT IS LIMITED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Obsession Community LLC and its owners, operators, contributors, and volunteers from and against any claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your conduct, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third party's rights.
10. Third‑Party Data, Content & Links
Some content and data on the Service is sourced from third parties, official feeds, and publicly available sources. We do not control and do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, legality, or timeliness of any such third‑party data, and we are not responsible for it.
The Service links to third‑party services and websites (for example, Discord, app stores, and product sites). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties. Each has its own terms:
11. User‑Generated Content
Some parts of the Service or our community may let you submit content (such as comments, theories, or analysis). You retain ownership of what you submit, but you grant us a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.
You represent that you have the right to submit your content and that it does not infringe any third party's rights or violate any law. You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing, hateful, deceptive, or that discloses others' private information.
We may remove, edit, or refuse any user content at our discretion, and we may suspend access for users who violate these Terms. We are not obligated to monitor user content and are not responsible for it.
12. Our Intellectual Property
Except for third‑party marks and content identified above, the original analysis, maps, text, design, and other materials we create for the Service, along with the Obsession name and logo, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual‑property laws. You may view and share our content for personal, non‑commercial use with attribution, but you may not copy, scrape, republish, sell, or use it commercially, or use our branding, without our prior written permission.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may be highlighted on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict‑of‑laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction and venue.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
