The Short Version
We collect as little as possible. We don't sell your data and we don't run invasive ad trackers. Our hosting provider processes limited technical data (like IP addresses and aggregate page views) to keep the site running and secure. Details below.
1. Who We Are
This Service (obsession.community and related pages) is operated by Obsession Community LLC. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and your choices. For requests, contact privacy@obsession.community.
2. What We Collect & Why
- Server & security logs. Our hosting/CDN provider automatically logs technical data such as IP address, browser/user‑agent, referring page, and timestamps. Used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and maintain security.
- Aggregate analytics. We may use privacy‑respecting analytics to understand traffic in aggregate (e.g. page views, country, device type). Used to improve the site. We do not use this to identify you personally.
- Cookies / local storage. We aim to keep these to a minimum — see the Cookies section below.
- Accounts & submissions (if applicable). If you create an account or submit content, we collect what you provide (such as a username, email, or your submissions) to operate that feature.
- Communications. If you email us, we keep your message and contact details to respond.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not knowingly use it for cross‑context behavioral advertising.
3. Third‑Party Processors
We rely on the following service provider, which processes limited data on our behalf.
- Cloudflare — hosting (Cloudflare Pages), CDN, security, logs, and basic traffic analytics if enabled. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
4. Cookies & Tracking
We use only the cookies or local storage necessary to operate the site and, where enabled, privacy‑respecting analytics. We do not use third‑party advertising or cross‑site tracking cookies. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may affect functionality.
5. Data Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law. Server and security logs are typically retained for a short period by our hosting provider and then deleted or anonymized. Account data and submissions are kept until you delete them or ask us to.
6. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including to access, correct, delete, or port it, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
To exercise any right, email privacy@obsession.community. We will verify and respond as required by applicable law. If you are in the EU/UK and believe we have not resolved your concern, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (in line with COPPA). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Third‑Party Links & Products
The Service links to third‑party services, and each Obsession product has its own policy. We are not responsible for their practices:
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do, and material changes may be highlighted on the Service.
